I jumped the gun and posted before I received all of the info from Gayle…now “the rest of the story” follows. Sorry, Gayle! I also made everything a little easier to read.
Thank you, Gayle! Take time to read more about charming Winnetoon here.

Gayle…..Just found this website, and was thrilled to find the stories that you have shared fo, not only your family, but also mine. You see, I am one of A.W. Crandall’s Great Grandchildren. My Grandfather was Harry J Crandall, and my Mother was Phyllis Jean Crandall (Powderly), who I know you have met. As a matter of fact, I believe you and I spoke on the phone shortly after my Mother passed away, about a book that she had you send out to myself and my sisters. Bless your heart for sharing these wonderful stories with everyone, and I am so very thankful to have found them.

My great aunt was miss Mary Spearsted. I am very familiar with many of names. My mom, dad and I visited Winnetoon many times. We moved to So.St.Paul,Mn. when I was 1 1/2 years.. I can still conjure up the smell of the garage my dad and Bill Lane owned.
